Effie Lynn Raynes, 56, of Cross Plains, TN., passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Effie was born in Nashville, TN to the late Tony and Melba Pennington. She is survived by her loving husband, James B Raynes of Cross Plains, her daughter, Tennelle (Jason) White of Greenbrier, her son, Chris (Brittney) Raynes of Greenbrier, four grandchildren, Olivia White, Brody White, Harlee Raynes and Brantlee Raynes, her sister's, Rhonda (Mark) Kois of TX, Fran Wheeler of Nashville, her nephew, Brandon (Kelly) Wheeler of Murfreesboro, her special friends, Jennifer (Michael) Hansel of Hendersonville.
Effie was a giver and caretaker and called everyone "Baby". Effie was big on family traditions and Sunday dinners and Thanksgiving being her favorite holiday. Effie had a love of her family and a greater love for her grandchildren. She...."always lived for the day...not tomorrow"
The family will have a Celebration of Life at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Hendersonville, TN. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 3pm, with visitation and reception immediately following the service
